We have another great artist from our Kickstarter Erik Swinson sharing his knowledge with a pdf tutorial on textures. He covers fabric, leather, hair, and metals.
He did a fantastic job of explaining the process and provided step by step photos. Its available now in the link below for you to read, download or print to have on hand.

The good stuff! (Update)
The original prototype (below) is about to be replaced shortly with our 1st sample from the manufacturer. We have made a few upgrades and color changes.
We went back to both the design and mechanical engineers to give it the final adjustments before manufacturing starts. The side panel snap fit locks work well but a solid hit could loosen them up. So we had locking mechanisms designed to make sure your gear stays put!
We had some color issues with the plastic and matching up our original (painted) color scheme. We have changed the brush holder to white as well as the wet palettes. Just having the wet palette lids white and nothing else really looked off to us.
The led light manufacturer contacted us a couple of weeks ago and has come out with a new updated design for the light and is sending samples. We should have them next week and will show everyone, check them for quality and how well they fit.
The extended travel bag sample has arrived and its spot on except for the logo being a bit off. The zippers, stitching, seams, padding, material, and shoulder strap are solid and remind us of a high grade camera case.
The color wheel, and stickers are all sourced and good to go. The luggage tag for the Studio X we will decide on once the final production starts.
Packaging we are also in the midst of designing and
are waiting of final product pictures to finalize.

Backer surveys and addresses

We are trying to finalize all the Kickstarter backers in Backerkit but we still have 31 pledges who need to fill out the survey, complete the address portion or pay for shipping. Please double check if your not sure you are 100% set. The shipping rates will be much higher if we have to use standard shipping later.

We are currently working on package design, setting up to make videos, Mini Master Werks website, videos, livestreams, and pdfs from our fantastic artists, and finalizing our retail orders.

Livestreams, videos and pdfs schedule

We are working hard on the back end of things here and just want to let everyone know the livestreams, videos and pdfs are in the works. We will be releasing new content every 3 to 4 weeks and will be alternating between livestreams, videos and pdfs to keep you on your toes.
To kick off we will be working with Don Suratos who recently graced the cover of Fantasy Figure International. He also works with Vallejo painting minis and other various projects.
Don will be working on a model from Kallamity and showing us some of his amazing techniques.
We have the Mini Master Werks you tube channel being set up now. October 31st we are shooting for to release Don's video.
